Why Akshaya?

I believe there will always be gaps among people (the haves & the have-nots) and in all honesty the Marxian equalitarian society is just a utopia.
Yet, its important to make sure that immense disparities don’t exists in society, leading to unwanted conflicts.
In today’s digital information age the developed societies are galloping at the pace of Moore’s Law;
Are the developing societies are biting the dust?
Are developing societies missing out on the Information Communication Technology (ICT) revolution?
How can developing societies benefit from ICT?
Is there a model that may works in taking ICT to the masses for their benefit?
Who should play key roles in such a projects/developments?
What are the developing societies doing or not doing about ICT gaps – Digital Divide?
If the model exist can it is replicated?

This blog seeks solutions to above questions and more. Yet, it is important to mentions that this blog springs from the belief that developing societies (whether inner-cities of Chicago or the arid deserts of North Africa) can beat all the odds by empowering their people and following a resource conscious long term model. The immediate question is; what does your belief based on? Name a developing society that has beaten the odds in the past? Or is suitably pacing to beat the future odds (!)?

Here let me introduce “Kerala“, my home, and a very intriguing state in the contradiction called India! Kerala has an impeccable track record in social development worth studying and replicating. Now Kerala is preparing to cross the chasm of digital divide on the project Akshaya.
